CREDIT CARD PAYMENT
We reserve the right to limit which payment options we accept at any time. Out of state and/or high dollar transactions will not be accepted via credit card without approval via chip reader and valid state ID. In order to protect against fraudulent activity we reserve the right to request additional forms of identification or call a financial institution to verify a transaction before releasing the purchased items.
In the event of an online transaction, the purchased item will not be covered by our standard return policy. All items purchased online will be non-returnable and non-refundable. We are glad to answer any and all questions you may have prior to the sale, and send any photos you might need of the item being purchased. Payment will only be accepted by wire transfer. The cost of shipping will be the responsibility of the purchaser, and the item will not be released for shipping until the wire transfer has cleared.
WARRANTY ON JEWELRY
In staying true to our high standards of customer satisfaction, we offer a one year warranty to protect against manufacturer defects in craftsmanship. The warranty does not include normal wear and tear, or damages incurred due to trauma, negligence, misuse, lack of regular maintenance, loss, or theft. A member of our experienced team will inspect and determine if a manufacturer defect has occurred. We recommend bringing your jewelry in at least twice a year for regular cleaning and inspection. Any warranty claims made must be accompanied by the original sales receipt.
ESTATE AND VINTAGE JEWELRY
All estate and vintage jewelry is sold “as-is” and is not covered under any warranty.
PRE OWNED WATCH WARRANTY & WATCH RETURNS
For all pre owned luxury watch sales, returns are permitted within 3 days of purchase with purchase price being refunded, less a 10% of purchase price restocking fee, only after Dublin Village Jewelers is able to verify: that the condition of the watch is the same as when purchased (note: this may take up to 7 business days), all originally included accessories are returned in their original condition, original receipt is presented, and there is no evidence of wear, damage, or modification. Dublin Village Jewelers reserves the right to decline a return or increase the restocking fee if any of these conditions are not met. The minimum 10% restocking fee will be applied with no exceptions. All luxury watches come with a limited 3-month movement warranty against manufacturer defects. Any required work covered by our warranty will be performed by a watchmaker of our choosing. We do not guarantee water resistance of any pre owned watches, unless noted otherwise. This warranty does not cover any damage as a result of negligence or misuse of the watch nor theft or loss. Deals in which a trade-in are involved are final at the time of sale.
NEW WATCH WARRANTY & RETURNS
For all new watch sales, a full return will be issued within 7 days of original purchase if the original receipt is included, the watch is in unworn condition, has not been sized, has all original stickers and tags in place, and is returned along with all original packaging and accessories in original condition. A 30% restocking fee will be applied, with no exceptions, if any of these conditions are not met. Dublin Village Jewelers reserves the right to determine the current and original condition of a watch. We also reserve the right to decline a return or increase the restocking fee if the watch has been damaged, worn, or is missing parts/accessories. All new watches with be covered under their respective factory warranty. All Tissot watches will include complimentary watch batteries throughout the duration of their warranty period. Deals in which a trade-in are involved are final at the time of sale.
JEWELRY RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY
We completely stand behind our product and will guarantee its authenticity; however, we also understand that there are times when a piece just isn’t right for you. Therefore, we will accept returns or exchanges within 7 days of the item’s delivery date or in store purchase. Please note that we cannot accept the return of items that have been worn or altered (including sizing and adjustments) and all items must be accompanied by the original sales receipt and any applicable warranty cards, manuals, and packaging. We are happy to offer a merchandise credit for items returned 7-14 days from the item’s delivery date or in store purchase. We will not be able to issue refunds or accept returns on items that have been lost, stolen, or damaged as a result of misuse or negligence.
SPECIAL ORDERS, REPAIRS, CUSTOM WORK AND ALTERED ITEMS
We regret that special and custom orders, and items that have custom modifications or alterations are not returnable, and that no refund or exchange can be made. This also applies to repair work that has been completed. If you decline a repair after previously approving it, you may still be charged for some or all of the work performed. Regarding custom jewelry designs, once a client has approved a design they are required to pay the balance (if there is one) for the materials and work performed and agreed upon. There is not an option for a refund on an approved custom design. If a client requests additional changes after approval, additional fees may be charged. A deposit of $150 is required for CAD work. If the client chooses not to proceed that $150 may be applied to an in-store purchase. CAD fees are non refundable. Some items may be ordered for customer approval with no obligation to purchase; however, the customer will be responsible for any shipping charges incurred. This must be paid at the time of the order.
Items may be placed on layaway for a maximum of 90 days, with a minimum deposit of 20% and three equal monthly payments. If no satisfactory arrangements have been made for full payment before the end of the 90-day period, the item(s) will be returned to stock. Layaway deposits and payments are nonrefundable after 7 days of original layaway down payment but may be applied toward the purchase of other merchandise. Completed layaways are not returnable or exchangeable. Layaways cancelled after 7 days of the original layaway are subject to a restocking fee of 15% of the purchase price.
CENTER AND ACCENT STONE WARRANTIES
Dublin Village Jewelers cannot be responsible for the loss of the center stone or any primary stone from any item we sell or repair. Please consult your insurance agent for information about how to insure your important pieces of jewelry against such a loss or any other mishap. We will, upon request, be happy to provide you with an appraisal for any item we sell. Accent stones on new bridal or fine jewelry up .03 cttw will be replaced at no charge in the event of a loss as a result of manufacturer defects for a period of 1 year from original purchase date.
GEMSTONE DAMAGE DISCLAIMER
Dublin Village Jewelers uses special care in the handling and setting of gemstones but cannot be responsible for any damage that may occur in such handling and setting. Further, Dublin Village Jewelers cannot be responsible for damage attributable to unstable enhancement processes, or for pressure or heat-sensitive stones, or stones with fractures, as there is an inherent risk in handling and setting them.
SALE ITEM EXCLUSIONS
Sale pricing is not applicable to prior purchases, layaways, or special orders. Coupons, gift cards, and gift certificates are not applicable to repair and custom work.
GEMSTONE ENHANCEMENT DISCLOSURE
Gemstone purchasers should be aware that natural gemstones are processed from the time they are extracted from the earth by one or more traditionally accepted gem and jewelry industry practices. All colored gemstones listed on this sale receipt have been subjected to a stable and possibly undetectable enhancement process to improve color and/or stability. Such enhancements may include, but are not limited to, heat treatment, irradiation, and impregnation. All relevant information will be readily provided to the best of our knowledge. Prevailing market values are based on these universally practiced and accepted processes by the gem and jewelry trade.
We stand by the repair work that we do and guarantee that repairs will be completed properly and as agreed upon with the customer. Any jewelry left with us for repair will be noted on a “take in” form. This form is an approximation and is not guaranteed to be 100% accurate. It is understood that this store or any of its employees are not responsible for the identification or condition of stones or jewelry at the time of “take in.” Any estimates and the scope of work noted on the “take in” are subject to change pending further inspection by our master goldsmith. We are not responsible for any additional damage incurred as a result of cleaning and inspection. Please note that all jewelry left for repair will be cleaned and polished, unless otherwise requested by the customer. When sizing a ring, the required ring size will be measured and approved by the customer at the time of the “take in.” We can not be responsible for fluctuations in customers ring size as a result of heat, cold, swelling, etc.
All watches are cleaned with the latest ultrasonic cleaning equipment, electronically timed, and adjusted to the capabilities of the watch. Watch overhauls are warranted for 1 year. The warranty does not cover watches which have been abused, tampered with, or show signs of rust resulting from water damage. We are not responsible for worn out or broken parts which were not necessary to replace at the time of the overhaul. There are no warranties on crystals, stems, crowns, or watchbands. Once a water-resistant watch has been opened to change the battery, it may no longer retain its water resistance. Dublin Village Jewelers does not warranty any water-resistant watch against leakage unless it has undergone a pressure-test after a battery change. There is an additional fee for this service.
SERVICING AND CLEANING
Dublin Village Jewelers will clean your jewelry and check the prongs free of charge. We recommend this be done at least twice per year. Please understand that there is risk of stones coming loose during the cleaning process. We reserve the right to decline a cleaning if we determine damage may be caused in the process.
